✈️ TOP DESTINATIONS FOR 2024

This list varies depending on WHO you ask, but no doubt everyone has been making their predictions. After reading through multiple articles, there was not a lot of consensus. However, there were a few countries that regularly made the lists.

  1. Japan
  2. South Korea
  3. Costa Rica

While Costa Rica has always been a popular destination, it seems that it hasn't lost it's spark amongst travelers. And among my friend group, I've seen more travel to South Korea and Japan, so these both make a lot of sense to me. In general, I feel they've been growing destinations for the last year.

Another common theme from the articles was the increase in "experience" travel. So not just traveling to visit a particular location, but to have a specific experience, like a Safari for example.

One thing I learned from traveling to over 30 countries, is that the list never gets shorter! The more you travel the more you discover new places to visit. So if you're not sure where to start, you can start with trending destinations or these "best destinations" or sign up with one of the mystery travel tips companies and have them choose!

👩‍💻 HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THESE ONLINE JOBS?

A little back story:
Since quitting my desk job back in 2018, I've been on a roller coaster journey of finding the job that earns me enough money to travel but that is also fulfilling. I've done everything from becoming an Amazon seller, to Virtual Assistant, to Travel Blogger, to Group Tour Guide and lots of little things in between. And none of them have really stuck. But in 2024 I'm really excited about where I'm headed.

After being unsuccessful in finding a full-time remote job, I decided quit trying to convince someone else to hire me and go out on my own with skills I already had (that was one benefit of trying so many things for the last 5 years, I've built up A LOT of different skills).

  1. UGC, which stands for user-generated content - You know all of those "real people" ads you see on IG and Tiktok, yeah those are UGC creators. It's beginner friendly and there are a ton of ways to get started. Brands always need more and new content and they're hiring creators!

Outside of pitching brands I already know and love, I've found good success on Fiverr and Backstage and received a ton of support through the Brands Meet Creators community. Curious what kind of opportunities there are? BMC has a platform you can sign up for and get new opportunities sent you email for free.
  2. Amazon Influencer - Amazon affiliates have been around since what feels like forever, but did you know that you could make simple product reviews that get placed on the product page and earn commission that way? The Amazon Influencer program is separate from the associates program and gives greatly visibility on the platform, instead of trying to drive traffic to Amazon. I've been focusing on this since October and am consistently making more money each month. Here is my storefront for an idea.
  3. Tik Tok Shop - If you're in the US and on TikTok you've seen the explosion of TikTok shop. Like it or hate it, it's here to stay. And it's making some people bank! One good video and you can earn thousands in commissions. The only requirement is to have 5,000 followers to join the program. I've just started about 2 weeks ago and only made about $9 so far, but the opportunities are there and from everything I've seen and heard, consistency is key. Stay consistent for 1-2 months and you'll start to see the rewards. I'm sure they'll be rolling it out to other countries sooner than later.
  4. Travel Collaborations - Travel is my passion and I'm ready to take everything I've learned in UGC for the last year and apply it to working with more travel brands, companies, tourism boards etcetera. I've got my travel portfolio ready to go and I'll be pitching brands very soon.

If you enjoy content creation and any of these sound interesting, I recommend doing a bit more research and getting started. A lot of them are beginner friendly and you can learn as you go. Any questions? Just hit reply and I'm happy to share what I've learned so far.

☀️ ANY TIPS FOR ITALY?

I'm going to Italy with my mom next month and it's my first time there! I'm excited to be traveling somewhere new next month and am in the planning stage.

We'll be visiting Venice and Rome and I'd love any recommendations you have to share. We have our flights, hotels and train booked. Everything else is still kinda open although we have some ideas. This is her 65th birthday trip so I want to make sure she has a great time!

📲 30 TRAVEL TIPS SERIES

On TikTok, I've been doing a 30 Travel Tips to Becoming a More Confident Traveler Series, so if you don't follow me there yet, you can check me out here. It's been really fun sharing little things I've learned along the way!
