This list varies depending on WHO you ask, but no doubt everyone has been making their predictions. After reading through multiple articles, there was not a lot of consensus. However, there were a few countries that regularly made the lists.
While Costa Rica has always been a popular destination, it seems that it hasn't lost it's spark amongst travelers. And among my friend group, I've seen more travel to South Korea and Japan, so these both make a lot of sense to me. In general, I feel they've been growing destinations for the last year.
Another common theme from the articles was the increase in "experience" travel. So not just traveling to visit a particular location, but to have a specific experience, like a Safari for example.
One thing I learned from traveling to over 30 countries, is that the list never gets shorter! The more you travel the more you discover new places to visit. So if you're not sure where to start, you can start with trending destinations or these "best destinations" or sign up with one of the mystery travel tips companies and have them choose!
A little back story:
Since quitting my desk job back in 2018, I've been on a roller coaster journey of finding the job that earns me enough money to travel but that is also fulfilling. I've done everything from becoming an Amazon seller, to Virtual Assistant, to Travel Blogger, to Group Tour Guide and lots of little things in between. And none of them have really stuck. But in 2024 I'm really excited about where I'm headed.
After being unsuccessful in finding a full-time remote job, I decided quit trying to convince someone else to hire me and go out on my own with skills I already had (that was one benefit of trying so many things for the last 5 years, I've built up A LOT of different skills).
If you enjoy content creation and any of these sound interesting, I recommend doing a bit more research and getting started. A lot of them are beginner friendly and you can learn as you go. Any questions? Just hit reply and I'm happy to share what I've learned so far.
I'm going to Italy with my mom next month and it's my first time there! I'm excited to be traveling somewhere new next month and am in the planning stage.
We'll be visiting Venice and Rome and I'd love any recommendations you have to share. We have our flights, hotels and train booked. Everything else is still kinda open although we have some ideas. This is her 65th birthday trip so I want to make sure she has a great time!
On TikTok, I've been doing a 30 Travel Tips to Becoming a More Confident Traveler Series, so if you don't follow me there yet, you can check me out here. It's been really fun sharing little things I've learned along the way!
I also created a free small pdf guide with each tip if you don't want to watch all 30 videos. You can find it in my Stan Store here.

Hey Reader, It’s been a minute since I popped into your inbox, but if you’re still here… thank you. And if you’ve been craving an adventure lately - you’re not alone. I’ve spent the last few years traveling solo and sharing stories along the way. But lately, I’ve been dreaming about something different: What if I planned a trip that you could actually join?
