I'm almost through my first month as a full-time content creator, I can't believe it!
I'll be sharing more in the coming weeks about how I got here and what I've learned so far.
But let's go ahead and get right in to today's topics:

It's maybe no surprise that Tech jobs are 6 of the 10 tops jobs for nomads. They've long been the leader in remote work offering flexible schedules and higher salaries. But Marketing and Creative positions aren't far behind.
With the rise of social media and online marketing, many professionals in these fields are able to do their work from anywhere as long as they can stay connected. And Creative professionals have long been freelancers or contracts for hire, making it easy to live where they want.
Want a second opinion? Here is the list from FlexJobs on top careers and job titles for nomads:
It's important to note that this isn't an exhaustive list. I've met many people traveling who have all sorts of jobs and are able to make it work with traveling. These are just the most common opportunities!
Did anything on the list surprise you?
One thing I don't see on the list above is "Content Creator!"
It's no secret that travel bloggers, vloggers and social media influencers are building their own businesses through content creation. And the newest craze is UGC or User Generated Content.
In short, UGC is the answer to "de-influencing", a term being thrown around a lot these days. UGC is real people, real creators, creating videos for brands to share on their socials. The main difference is that influencers typically post to their own socials and influence their audience, while UGC creators create content to help the brand influence and grow their own audience.
My name, my following, my audience is irrelevant as long as I can deliver great content!
I first came across the term UGC earlier this year and was immediately intrigued (watch my latest TikTok on my UGC Creator journey). I've been creating YouTube videos and TikToks for years but have never reached "influencer" status (and never really wanted to) but with UGC I'm able to work with brands and get paid for sharing my knowledge and expertise in video production and social media marketing.
I joined a couple of programs to learn more about UGC and as of this month (October) I'm officially a full-time content creator, in large part due to my income through UGC!
And I can continue to build my own content sites (YouTube, Blog, TikTok, etc) while doing UGC which is a win-win for me! I'll be sharing more about UGC and my creator journey in future newsletters.
But in the meantime, if you're interested in dipping your toes in, you can sign up to get brand opportunities sent directly to your inbox via Brands Meet Creators. It's just one of the many platforms I use to connect with brands!
