Greetings Travelers!Happy Spring to all - hope you're allergies aren't as bad as mine right now :) I had a wonderful visit to Italy this month and am looking forward to all the summer travel! I'll be heading back to Connecticut and NYC for recurring house sits and then plan to get back to Europe later this year. Do you have any upcoming trips you're excited about?! In today's newsletter: Jump Right In ↓ 💳 CAPITAL ONE LOUNGESOn my recent flight to Italy, I had the opportunity to visit the Capitol One Lounge in DFW Airport and a partner lounge during my layover in London. I'm embarrassed to say to I didn't realize this was a perk of the card until this month. Only to quickly learn that this perk for Capital One Venture Members is ending at the end of 2024. That's right, complimentary lounge access for Venture card holders will be removed starting in 2025. This doesn't affect Venture X card holders - you'll still receive your unlimited complimentary passes each year. But if you have a lowly Venture card you have "2 complimentary visits per year to Capital One Lounges or Plaza Premium Lounges to use by December 31, 2024." Capital One has 3 lounges in the US - DFW, Denver, and Washington Dulles + many partner lounges around the world. 📱 AIRALO GLOBAL e-SIM APPIf you've been in the nomad or travel space for a while, you've definitely heard about global e-sim options. I had always been curious, but never tried them out until recently. I was able to partner with Airalo during my Italy vacation and I was very happy with my experience! Purchasing the e-SIM was as easy as an other online purchase and installing and activating it took less than 5 minutes. I went with an Italy specific e-SIM since I was visiting any other country, and the coverage was great all week and I didn't encounter any issues. And it only cost me $8!! Some things to be aware of: This isn't a problem is your home country number is connected to a physical SIM card or your phone allows for multiple e-SIMs. 2. If you want/need a lot of data you'll have to pay a lot more. Most of their data plans are pretty low, although you have the option to add more or top up as needed. But if you don't use much data while traveling, then it's pretty cost effective. They have plans that are data only, call only or data & call options so there is a lot of flexibility in options. 🧡 You can download the app here using my affiliate link: https://go.airalo.com/travelingtayler 💙 And you can use the code TAYLER3 to get $3 off your first purchase 🦋 SAFETYWING NOMAD HEALTHIf you've used SafetyWing for your health insurance while traveling, they've just made it better for full-time full-time travelers.
